The Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Fez-Meknes organized the 2nd Edition of “Digital Week”, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the Wilaya of Region, the Fez-Meknes Chamber of Crafts, the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez, the Moroccan Office for Industrial and Commercial Property, Alten, Attijariwafa Bank, Bank Of Africa, LaStartupStation and Hack&Pitch, from December 19 to 23, 2022 .
On “How to revitalize the crafts sector in the Fez-Meknes region through digital? “, the 2nd Edition of “Digital Week” was held from December 19 to 23, 2022. This annual information, awareness and exchange initiative was established to promote the key role of digital in the development and supporting national and regional economic dynamics.
This edition was marked by the organization of the 1st hackathon for the crafts sector at the national level, which took place over 3 days, and which saw a significant mobilization of craftsmen, developers, marketers and students. This made it possible to generate innovative ideas, to meet challenges related to the value chain of their sectors during this competition. The projects of the winning teams were awarded in the form of an incubation offer to allow them to move from the ideation or prototyping phase to a more advanced phase.
In parallel with this unprecedented regional competition, awareness and training sessions on cybersecurity, design, digital marketing and e-commerce, for the benefit of more than 200 artisans and cooperatives were held in the 9 prefectures and provinces of the Region, with the aim of giving a territorial dimension and covering the entire Region.
