Serbia hails Morocco’s role as a regional pole of stability

Serbia welcomed, on Wednesday, Morocco’s role as a pole of stability and a relay of growth and development in Africa.

“Serbia welcomes Morocco’s role as a pole of stability and a driver of growth and development in Africa,” said a joint statement made public following talks between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans. residing abroad, Nasser Bourita, and his Serbian counterpart Nikola Selaković, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh.

Morocco and Serbia also underlined their positive and constructive role in maintaining stability, security and peace in their respective regions, the statement reads.

The two countries also noted their commitment to these principles and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, as well as respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of States, the statement continued.

The head of Serbian diplomacy hailed, on this occasion, the profound reforms undertaken over the past two decades under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and the renewed efforts for political, economic and social development.

He also welcomed Morocco’s new development model and the promotion of advanced regionalization, the statement added.

Bourita and Selaković hailed, on this occasion, the positive dynamics of political relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Serbia on the occasion of the celebration this year of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

They welcomed the readiness expressed by the two parties to put the relations between the two countries on the path of a strategic partnership.

In this context, the two officials stressed the importance of giving a strong impetus to economic cooperation through the organization this year of the 3rd session of the Joint Economic Commission in Belgrade.
