In face of the parliamentarians during the oral question session held yesterday Monday, July 03, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, reported about sixty factories under construction in the automotive sector.
Some 60 production units will soon come to reinforce the capacities of the automotive sector. This is the information released yesterday by Ryad Mezzour to parliamentarians. It was during the traditional oral question session.
Indeed, answering a question on the situation of the automotive sector, the Minister wanted to be reassuring. He revealed to the deputies that about sixty production units are under construction. This will of course increase the current capacity of the platform, which has around 260 factories. With this perspective, Ryad Mezzour has projected an export turnover of 138 billion dirhams for this sector. As a reminder, he indicated that the Moroccan automotive industry employs 230,000 people.
According to advanced data, the automotive industry will therefore experience an improvement of more than 23% in revenues and production capacities. However, no information has filtered on the estimated date on which the new units will be delivered.
