Export: Royal Air Maroc, ASMEX Strengthen Their Partnership

Morocco’s flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and the Moroccan Association of Exporters (ASMEX) signed, Monday in Casablanca, a new agreement to strengthen their cooperation and synergies in export.

This partnership consolidates the agreement already established between the two parties in April 2016 by offering more benefits for access to the company’s Freight services, said a joint statement by RAM and ASMEX.

The new agreement will allow Moroccan exporters members of ASMEX to benefit from preferential rates on air freight rates for export on the various destinations of the national carrier, said the same source.

In order to encourage the development of new exports, RAM will grant even more preferential conditions for the first exporters members of ASMEX, and this for a period of 12 months from their first export with the air services of the Company, added the statement.

Royal Air Maroc will also reinforce the quality of service guaranteed to Moroccan exporting companies by handling their requests promptly and under favorable conditions that can be further optimized according to the markets, the nature of the shipments and their frequency.

The partnership agreement also allows ASMEX member companies to benefit from corporate contracts covering passenger and cargo services if their needs justify it, the statement said, noting that ASMEX is committed to designate Royal Air Maroc as a preferred partner and exclusive cargo carrier.

The Association will entrust the airline with the freight of its equipment on the occasion of the shows and fairs it organizes in Morocco and abroad. It will also highlight the brand of the national carrier as a partner, during the events organized by the association on the theme of logistics, as well as on its event and institutional communication tools.
