The KENZPAT company inaugurated, on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in Skhirat, its new industrial unit for the manufacture of pasta and couscous, in the presence of Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade.
With an investment of 200 million dirhams, which will generate 130 new direct jobs, this project will enable the KENZPAT company to position itself on the local pasta and couscous market and to seize the opportunities offered for export, and to the Vita Holding Group whose is part of the company to diversify its products and complete the grain processing value chain.
It should be noted that this project was the subject of an investment agreement signed between the State and the company KENZPAT, as part of the program contract for the development of agri-food industries 2017-2021.
On this occasion, Mr. Mezzour underlined: “This project, which confirms the investment dynamic experienced by the pasta and couscous industry sector in our country, illustrates once again the efforts made to further develop the ” Made in Morocco” through quality products and thus strengthen the industrial and food sovereignty of the Kingdom. We will spare no effort to support the group and accompany it in its expansion plans, through the industrial investment projects that its various agro-industrial subsidiaries intend to launch. »
Vita Holding plans, in fact, other investment projects in the years to come, given the dynamics of the pasta, couscous and cereals sector. In this context, the company KENZ Maroc (Minoterie et semoulerie), a subsidiary of the group, today signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry relating to the launch, from 2023, of a new project to extend semolina, which will require an investment of 250 million dirhams and the creation of 80 new jobs. The group also plans to extend its pasta and couscous manufacturing unit by setting up new production lines in the years to come.
