Morocco ranks 62nd in the world and first in the Maghreb in terms of providing economic opportunities for investors and residents

Morocco ranked 62 globally out of 128 countries, and eighth in the Arab world, in terms of providing economic opportunities for investors and residents, which is one of the sub-indicators on which the “Global Citizenship 2023” report, issued by CS Global Partners, is based. Morocco ranks 95th globally, with 51.8 points out of 100.

At the level of North Africa, the Kingdom came in first place, followed by Libya in 63rd place in the world, Tunisia 74th, Algeria 75th, Mauritania 118th.

On the Arab level, the UAE ranked first by occupying the 20th place in the world, followed by Qatar in the 24th place, Saudi Arabia 30th, Bahrain 40th, Kuwait 41st, Oman 46th, Jordan 61st, and Morocco 62nd.

Globally, Singapore, the United States, Hong Kong, the Netherlands and Japan are among the top five countries offering the best economic opportunities, while Haiti, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Yemen, Chad and Somalia are at the bottom of the rankings.

In the “safety and security” index, Morocco ranked 98th globally, with 55.5 points, and 115th in the “quality of life” index, with 58.3 points, and 93rd in the “global mobility” index, with 24.1 points. And it ranked 86th globally in the “Financial Freedom” index, with 48.6 points.

The “Global Citizenship” report ranks the 128 countries by monitoring their conditions in the areas of “safety and security”, “financial freedom”, “economic opportunities”, “global mobility” and “quality of life”.
