The Moroccan Industrial and Commercial Property Office (OMPIC), indicated that a total of 24,660 companies were created nationwide at the end of March 2022.
It emerges from the general dashboard of OMPIC that these companies are divided between legal persons with 17,444 units created and natural persons (7,216 units).
By sector, trade monopolizes 35.55% of total business creations, followed by building and public works (BTP) and real estate activities (19.13%), miscellaneous services (16.80%), transport (9.55%), industries (6.77%), hotels and restaurants (6.17%), information and communication technologies (2.55%) agriculture and fishing ( 2.36%) and financial activities (1.10%), indicates the OMPIC dashboard.
The regional distribution shows a domination of the Casablanca-Settat region with 7,163 companies, ahead of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (3,388), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (3,330), Marrakech-Safi (2,279) , Fez-Meknes (1,988), Souss-Massa (1,586), Oriental (1,298), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1,152), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (892), Drâa-Tafilalet (740), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (564) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (280).
Regarding the legal form, 62.6% of the companies created are limited liability companies with a single partner (SARLAU), 37.2% SARLs, 0.1% public limited companies (SA).
