Signing a framework partnership agreement for the preparation, financing and development of the Ain Beida industrial zone in Fez

On Friday, August 12, 2022 in Rabat, a framework partnership agreement was signed for the preparation, financing and development of the Ain Beida industrial zone located in Fez.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Minister of Industry and Trade, the governor of the Fez-Meknes region, the president of the Fez-Meknes region, the director of state properties, the head of the Ain Beida commune, the director general of the regional investment center Fez Meknes, the president of the General Contracting Union of Fez Meknes, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and services in Fez-Meknes and director of the regional agency for the implementation of projects in the Fez-Meknes region.

This project aims to equip the industrial area of ​​Ain Beida, especially by developing access roads to the area, and establishing road networks.

This project, which extends over a total area of ​​80 hectares, requires a total investment of 200 million dirhams, co-financed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (50%) and the Fez-Meknes destination. (50%)

The site will also include a general industrial area, an area designated for wholesale trade, an area for economic activities, an area designated for transporting oil factories as part of the Sebou Valley pollution control program, and an area for transporting gas stocks.

On this occasion, Mr. Mazur stated: “The establishment of this project will enable the dynamism of the industrial fabric in the region and improve its attractiveness to investors.”

This project will enhance the offer of industrial zones in the Fez-Meknes region to meet the needs of investors. It will also contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the region and creating new job opportunities.
