The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced on Thursday that it had amicably separated from the national team coach, Vahid Halilhodžić, for “differences of opinion”.
This separation comes because of differences of opinion between the Federation and Halilhodžić about the appropriate preparation of the Atlas Lions for the finals of the 22nd edition of the World Cup Qatar 2022, said the FRMF on its website.
The FRMF thanked “Mr. Halilhodžić for the work done during his mission at the head of the national team, mainly the qualification for the next World Cup thanks to a selection with talented and promising young players.”
“For his part, Mr. Vahid Halilhodžić wishes full success to the National Eleven in the future,” said the Federation, recalling, moreover, that it will mobilize all means to provide the national team with a good preparation for the World Cup 2022.
