Sekkouri affirms the government’s commitment to promoting employability and economic empowerment for women

Younes Skouri, Minister of Economic Integration, Micro-Entrepreneurship, Employment and Competencies, affirmed, Thursday in Marrakesh, that the government is committed to promoting women’s employability and economic empowerment.

In a speech before the 69th International Conference on Women Heads of Global Entrepreneurs, Al-Sakuri said that “the government is determined to enhance women’s participation in the labor market and advance women’s entrepreneurship.”

The same intervenor stated that the government is committed, in accordance with the lofty directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to work on making the new investment charter, especially the part related to small business, take into account the gender approach, and that employment, as a national policy, also takes into account this approach.

He continued, “The government aims to promote women’s entrepreneurship and the economic inclusion of women, especially women workers in the informal sector, who have been severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
