Born in 1952 in Ain Cheggag (Sefrou), the late Sekkouri held several positions in various departments including the High Commission for Water and Forests and the Fight against Desertification, the Ministry of Urban Planning and Territory Development and the Ministry of Interior.
Member of the House of Representatives during the previous legislature, the late Sekkouri was also Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Renne (France).
The late Sekkouri, a graduate of the National School of Public Administration (ENA), was a member of the political bureau of the Popular Movement (MP). He participated in several studies and large-scale reform projects, including the development of MP proposals on advanced regionalization and the Constitution of 2011.
