The president of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Chakib Alj, highlighted, on Monday in Madrid, the investment opportunities offered by Morocco in various fields, assuring that the Kingdom can constitute a “platform for growth ” for Spanish companies.
“I would like to invite Spanish business leaders to consider Morocco as their platform for growth and their gateway to new markets,” said Alj, who was speaking at a high-level business meeting, under the theme ”Investing in Morocco for a common prosperity”.
”In the manufacturing industry, as in renewable energies, tourism, logistics or technology, Morocco offers more than ever sustainable profitability and growth,” added the boss of the CGEM, calling for taking advantage of of these advances, by investing more in the sectors of the future and the catalysts of growth.
Morocco and Spain have created a “natural basis for business”, thanks to strong historical, cultural and political ties shared throughout history, he said, recalling that Spain has been Morocco’s main trading partner for more than 10 years.
Morocco has long been recognized as a gateway to Africa, thanks to its strategic position at the crossroads of Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and to the significant investments made by Moroccan companies in the continent, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, argued Mr. Alj, noting that Morocco can facilitate access for economic operators in Africa.
