Morocco will host the next Regional Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for Africa in 2024.
The 32nd FAO Regional Conference for Africa, held in Malabo from 11 to 14 April, has approved Morocco’s bid to host the next FAO Regional Conference for Africa in 2024, said a statement by the Kingdom’s embassy in Italy.
This event will strengthen cooperation between Morocco, FAO and African countries to address the challenges of the region in agriculture, rural development and food security.
The Regional Conference is responsible for conducting high-level consultations to diagnose the region’s specific problems and priority issues, which should be taken into account in the preparation of the work program and budget for the following biennium, and with a view to adapting the Organization’s longer-term objectives to the region’s needs.
