The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication – Department of Culture – has launched a call for applications for participation in the cultural competitions of the 2022 Jeux de la Francophonie, which will take place from July 28 to August 6, 2023 in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo).

Launched following the decision taken by the Permanent Council of La Francophonie (CPF) at its extraordinary session to postpone the 9th Games of La Francophonie in 2023, and to ensure the participation of the Kingdom of Morocco in this edition, this call for applications is addressed to young Moroccan artists and creators whose age varies between 18 and 35 years (in 2023), said the ministry in a statement.

The competition includes seven cultural disciplines namely “Street Arts” (Hip-hop dance; Giant puppets; Juggling with balloon), “Visual Arts” (Painting; Photography; sculpture / installation), “Song”, “Tales and storytellers”, “Creative dance”, “Literature” (short story) and “Digital creation”, said the same source.

Applicants must submit their applications, available on the portal of the Ministry, via the email address “jeuxdelafrancophonie2022@minculture.gov.ma”, no later than September 30, 2022.
