SIB: Inauguration of the 18th edition of the International Exhibition

As part of the encouragement of productive investment and the strengthening of the technical supervision of the Housing sector, Fatima Ezzahra EL MANSOURI inaugurated, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, the 18th edition of the International Building Exhibition (SIB ), which will take place from November 23 to 27, 2022, at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center in El Jadida.

The 18th edition of the SIB is held over a total area of ​​nearly 30,000 m², and has the presence of nearly 500 exhibitors, including 200 foreigners representing 28 countries, in addition to Morocco.

The official opening of this edition took place in the presence of Olivier Abel NANG EKOMIYE, Minister of Housing and Urbanism of the Gabonese Republic, country guest of honor of this 18th edition, of Ghita MEZZOUR, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, the Governor of El Jadida, local elected officials and Presidents of Federations and Professional Orders.

Fatima Ezzahra EL MANSOURI declared, on this occasion: “This year, we are pleased to welcome the Gabonese Republic, represented by a strong delegation chaired by the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, as guest of honor to further strengthen cooperation between our two friendly and brotherly countries, within the framework of South-South cooperation, in accordance with the High Royal Instructions as well as the exchange of experience and expertise in the field of Territorial Development, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy”. And to add: “The SIB has established itself, over the years, as an unmissable event, which brings together institutional and professional players in the building and construction industry, in order to open up to the latest solutions and advances of the sector. It is an opportunity to encourage investment and partnerships in this strategic sector which employs 1.2 million people, while insisting on resilience, innovation and quality for a better built environment and a better life to Citizens”.

Organized by the Ministry of National Territorial Development, Urbanism, Housing and City Policy, in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), this event which marks its return, after an absence of four years due to the health crisis linked to Covid-19, is placed under the theme “Innovation and resilience at the service of a better living environment”. It aims to be a platform for exchanging experiences and know-how, particularly in the field of new construction techniques and materials, allowing the entire construction ecosystem to come together and rethink our ways of living. and build to meet current and future challenges.

Technical conferences intended for all stakeholders in the act of building, will be led by experts and professionals in the field and will focus on the following areas:

Innovative and sustainable architecture
